Among them are 14 children, eight dogs, and two cats. After managing to cross the Ukrainian\u2013Polish border, they convened in Warsaw and were subsequently rescued by two FAB aircraft\u2014a KC-390 Millennium and an Embraer Legacy jet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most traveled on board the KC-390, which landed at the Bras\u00edlia Air Base at around 12:30 pm. Aboard the Legacy were a pregnant woman and two families with small children, as well as Brazil\u2019s Foreign Minister Carlos Fran\u00e7a, who was in Poland spearheading the final stages of Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Repatria\u00e7\u00e3o (Operation Repatriation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After disembarking, the group was welcomed by President Jair Bolsonaro and First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro. State ministers, congresspeople, and military officers also attended the reception ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bras\u00edlia was the final destination of a nearly 12-hour trip that started in the Polish capital, made quick stops in Lisbon (Portugal), Sal (Cape Verde), and Recife (Pernambuco state, in Northeastern Brazil), where the aircraft landed at approximately 6:30 am and stayed there for some three hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Bras\u00edlia, the group should\u00a0proceed to their final destinations with tickets provided by airline companies.
