The FAB’s participation focused on expanding strategic partnerships for the maintenance of its military fleet, with emphasis on the most modern platforms \u2014 including the F-39E Gripen, KC-390 Millennium and the veteran F-5M Tiger II. The event also provided a forum for negotiations on technology transfer and technical personnel capability development.<\/p>\n
Fleet maintenance is one of the FAB’s key operational bottlenecks: KC-390 availability, for example, remains below expectations in 2026, with only two or three aircraft flying regularly. Expanding domestic MRO capacity \u2014 and reducing dependence on foreign maintenance support \u2014 is a strategic priority for the Brazilian Air Force.<\/p>\n
