Embraer signed a contract for the supply of four A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to Panama’s National Air and Naval Service (SENAN), expanding the Brazilian light attack aircraft’s footprint into Central America. The contract includes logistics support and pilot and maintenance crew training.<\/p>\n
The Super Tucano will be employed by Panama in maritime and land patrol, border surveillance and anti-narcotics support missions \u2014 a role similar to that filled by the aircraft in other Latin American operators, including Colombia (A-29B), Ecuador and the Brazilian Air Force itself.<\/p>\n
In parallel, Uruguay received two of the five A-29 Super Tucanos ordered for the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU) in early 2026, as part of a contract that includes a flight simulator and logistics package. The Super Tucano replaces the IA-58 Pucar\u00e1 in the FAU inventory.<\/p>\n
