Grob 120TP:
mais que um treinador básico
Latest version of the Grob 120 breaks new training grounds
I t's one of the coolest looking light aircraft around, but it
is also a superb training machine. A real 21st Century trai­
ner with guts and punch, one which led Peter Collins of the
British magazine Flight, an experienced aviator, to describe it
as a “Pocket Rocket” after being ofered several familiarisation
fights on the Grob G 120TP in Germany. Described bluntly by
its designer as “a two-seat turboprop training and aerobatic
low-wing aircraft with modern technology fbreglass com­
posite airframe”, it is evolved from the better known G 120A
piston-engined aircraft and is specially designed for military
and professional civil pilots training. But it is also much more
than that: a real German beauty.
Contrary to the Grob G 115TA, the G 120TP has a retrac­
table tricycle landing gear, which folds fush with the fuselage
once up, and a low set tailplane. The quoted performance en­
velope and the various cockpit upgrades proposed for this

da bem conhecida aeronave G 120A, com motor convencio­
nal, projetada para o treinamento de pilotos civis e militares.
No entanto, o resultado alcançado foi muito mais do que isso:
temos uma verdadeira beleza alemã.
