car on public roads and can transition into an aircraft at the
nearest airport by lowering its 27-foot (8.2m) wings for take

range of 500 miles and can carry a payload of 430lb. It has
has a MTOW of 1,430lb (650kg). An exemption for the extra
110lb (50kg) above the usual weight limit was granted by the
FAA so that the Transition can incorporate automotive-style
safety features currently not available in other light aircraft. It
can accommodate two adults and luggage, and is driven by a

3,500 up to 8,000 feet and can fy up to 12,000 feet.
