A Passaredo recebe seu primeiro ATR
Passaredo Linhas Aéreas receives its frst ATR 72-600

m 22 de maio de 2012, a companhia aérea brasileira Pas-
saredo Linhas Aéreas recebeu o primeiro dos quatro ATR
72-600 alugados junto à americana Air Lease Corporation
(ALC). A entrega da aeronave (MSN 1022/PR-PDA) teve lugar
nas instalações da ATR em Toulouse-Blagnac, França, sob um
cinzento céu e uma leve chuva.
Por ocasião desta cerimônia de entrega, a ATR e a Passa-
redo anunciaram ofcialmente que assinaram em paralelo um
contrato para a compra de dez ATR 72-600 e mais dez opções,
no valor total de cerca de US$450 milhões.
A companhia aérea regional paulista irá, no entanto, in-
troduzir os quatro ATR alugados da ALC (assim como as dez
aeronaves encomendadas à fabricante de aviões europeia)
progressivamente ao longo de 2012, 2013 e 2014, elevando
assim sua frota total de ATR 72-60 para 14 aviões até o fm de
2014. Além dessa frota inicial de ATR 72-600, a Passaredo tam-
bém começará a operar em julho deste ano dois ATR 72-500
usados (alugados) a partir de seu hub em Ribeirão Preto, no
Estado de São Paulo, para atender a sua crescente demanda.
Com a chegada destes novos ATR de 70 lugares, a Passaredo
irá aumentar gradativamente sua capacidade de passageiros
e reduzir substancialmente os custos por assento em sua rede
em expansão, que atualmente conta com apenas 14 jatos Em-
braer ERJ-145.
Além disso, a companhia aérea regional irá se benefciar de
seu acordo de “code-share”com a GOL – que vem enfrentando
sérios contratempos comerciais hoje – e continuará a desen-
volver sua prós-
pera rede local
com a introdução
de novas rotas
em todo o país

n 22 May 2012, the Brazilian regional carrier Passaredo
Linhas Aéreas was handed over the frst of four ATR 72-
600s leased from the US-based Air Lease Corporation (ALC).
The delivery of this aircraft (MSN 1022 / PR-PDA) took place at
the ATR facilities in Toulouse-Blagnac, France, between scatte-
red rain drops under a very grey sky.
On the occasion of this delivery ceremony, ATR and Passa-
redo ofcially unveiled as well that they signed in parallel a
contract for the purchase of ten ATR 72-600s plus ten options,
valued at some $ 450 million in total.
The Brazilian regional airline will however introduce the
four ATRs leased from ALC (as well as the ten frm additional
aircraft booked with the European aircraft manufacturer) only
progressively over 2012, 2013 and 2014, thus bringing to 14
its total feet of ATR 72-600s by the end of 2014. In addition to
this initial feet of ATR 72-600s, Passaredo will also start ope-
rating this July two leased older ATR 72-500s from its Ribeirão
Preto hub in the State of São Paulo, to cope with a growing
demand. With the arrival of these new 70-seat ATRs, Passaredo
will progressively augment its passenger capacity and subs-
tantially reduce seat-costs on its expanding network nowa-
days relying only on 14 Embraer ERJ-145 twin-jets.
On top of that, the regional airline will beneft from its In-
terline Agreement with Brazil’s leading aviation group GOL—
now experiencing several serious commercial setbacks—as it
will further develop its thriving local network with the intro-
duction of new routes across the country
