Air Force machines with a long his-
tory of war fighting in Africa. They
perform beautifully at all airshow

Hurricanes (Mk IV & XII), four

V, two Mk XIV, one Mk XVIII)

Republic P-47 Thunderbolts

However, for the Skyraider
fan, there is no place like La
Ferté-Alais. It is today the
only airfled in the world
where you can see fying up
to three or four of these mas-
sive former U.S. Navy fgh-
ters, all ex-French Air Force
AD-4N models previously
used in anger over Algeria,
Djibouti, Chad and Gabon
during the past half-century.
They today belong to private
French owners always proud
