hias de fuzileiros navais brasileiros (212

e brasileiros foi dado a um cadete brasi-
leiro de 24 anos educado em Brest e es-
tudando no FS Dixmude, o Subtenente

classe sul-africana “Valour” (MEKO A-200) são
os maiores navios de superfície da Marinha sul
africana. Eles foram projetados e construídos
de acordo com um desenho furtivo, para reduzir
a assinatura infra-vermelha (-75%) e de radar
(-50%) pela companhia alemã Blohm+Voss.
Neste navio os gases de escape são expelidos
logo acima da linha d'água.

at full speed. The South African “Valour” class
(MEKO A-200) frigates are the major surface
ships of the South African Navy. They were
designed and built along a stealthy design,
to reduce both the radar and IR signature.
Blohm+Voss, the designers, claim that this
class has the radar signature of a vessel one-
half her size, 75% less infrared emissions than
previous designs, by expelling exhaust fumes
just above the waterline, as well as a 20%
lower life-cycle cost, 25% lower displacement,
